Lest We Forget

The eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month 1918 - The day the guns on the battlefields of Europe fell silent. Today we honour those fallen in the two Great Wars.

Whatever you are doing at eleven o’clock today, just stop. Stop and remember the reason why you are free to do whatever it is you are doing. Stop and remember that servicemen and women gave their lives so you can be free. They gave their lives so we could have our voices, our opinions and be free from oppression.

And today, we remember those and we say thank you.

The sacrifices of those who fought for our country must never be forgotten. They fought for what was right and every single one of those people are heroes.

Today we honour them.

I personally would like to say a huge thank you to those who fought in those wars. Your sacrifices were not in vain and we live prosperous lives today, because of you.

Thank you.

People, two minutes out of your lives today is nothing, so please, stop and remember our heroes.

LEST WE FORGET

May the force be with you
